Do’s - Things You Should Do on a Tadoba Safari
1. Reach the gate early -
Every safari in Tadoba has a time when it goes inside the park. It is important to reach the gate of your zone at least 30 minutes before the safari time mentioned on your permit. In that time, the forest department checks the ID of tourists, and other things like vehicle allotment, meeting of guides, and other duties are done. No safari wait for the travelers, so reaching the gate of your safari zone on time is highly important.
2. Carry Identity Proof -
Whenever you visit the wild and famous Tadoba National Park, make sure to keep your ID proof with you. The forest department asks the travelers for their ID before entering the park. Also, the ID that you carry should be the one that you filled out during booking. You can use any ID for booking (Aadhar card, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport, etc). When people are at the forest gate, the officials ask for IDs, and the details are matched with the ones that you provided for booking. If anything is wrong - even an alphabet- then you might not be able to enter the park, so fill information correctly.
3. Wear Comfortable Clothes -
We always suggest it to the traveler that they should wear comfortable clothes. It allows them to be comfy inside the Jungle and enjoy the beautiful sights without any problems. Also, you can go for colors that match the surroundings, like green, brown, grey, or beige tones. It will allow you to blend in with the surroundings, and animals won’t go away from you. Avoid bright colors because they can disturb animals. Also, wear comfy shoes as you may need to walk a bit near the entry gate of the Tadoba National Park.
4. Listen to your Guide -
It is a rule of the park that no safari can enter the forest without a guide and driver. They are trained by the forest department and have knowledge about everything related to the park. They know the animal behavior, routes, safety information, tracking methods, and whatnot. They know everything about the flora and fauna of this spot and are there on the safari for safety reasons. It is important to listen to them and do as they say. If the guide tells you to wait silently, lower your voice, or not move, then follow the instructions without any questions, as they will keep you safe inside the park.
Don’ts - Things You Should Avoid on a Tadoba Safari
1. Do Not Feed Animals
Some people try to feed the animals in the park because they find them cute. But please don’t do it, as animals of the Tadoba National Park are wild and they can be very dangerous. Also, feeding them disrupts the natural balance of nature, as they can get food from you for once, but after that, they will become angry if they have to search for it. They might even fall sick because of the food you give them, and may even lose their natural hunting instinct. Feeding wildlife is illegal and punishable. Never offer food to any animal.
2. Do Not Make Noise or Litter
This park is a natural home for animals, so activities like shouting, playing music, banging on the vehicle, or talking loudly can disturb the animals. These things might even scare animals, and they can go away from your gypsy. This might spoil the sighting experience of fellow tourists, so try to avoid these things. Just enjoy a silent safari experience with the peaceful vibes of the Jungle. Also, littering inside the park is a punishable offence. Whenever you go for a Tadoba Safari, keep your waste in plastic bags and throw it in the dustbins outside the park after the ride.
3. Do Not Smoke, Use Fire, or Consume Alcohol
Do not smoke, use fire, or consume alcohol inside the park. These things are extremely risky, as even a small spark can start a forest fire that can harm animals, trees, and even the people inside the Tadoba National Park. Consuming alcohol inside the park or going inside the park after having had it is also not allowed. Alcohol makes people unaware of what they are doing, and they might not behave responsibly in the park. Forests are natural homes for wildlife, so we must behave responsibly and avoid anything that can damage nature or disturb animals.
4. Do Not Expect Only Tigers
Tadoba is a natural forest area that provides a natural habitat for animals. Here, animals roam here and there, and they live peacefully. They are free to go anywhere inside the park, and they keep on roaming, so sightings of animals totally depend on luck. When you go for a Tadoba safari, do not think that you’ll definitely get to see the tigers. Their sigthings depend on luck, and you might even get a chance to see other animals like peacock, spotted deer, birds, langurs, insects and the beauty of this area. If you focus only on tigers, you may miss many beautiful moments. Enjoy everything the forest offers during your ride.
